The club came about when two good friends (James and Scooby) had no were to race as there local club folded so they decided to start there own club up way back in 2002 in a good friends old reptile shop in Spalding.

It was 1st known as Lincsoval and soon became a popular little club with one of the 1st permanent oval tracks with rope and post fence, we even had to manually count the laps for the 1st few meetings till the club kitty could buy its 1st Amb timing system.

James then decided to buy a pub in Gorefield Wisbech which had an old function room which soon became the new club building and Smf Raceway was born.

A very small oval was built and saw some great meetings were held in the pub and the club started to make a name for itself in the rc oval community.

Due to a Divorce the club then moved to Scout Head quarters in Wisbech were it grew from strength to strength and had many good years there until the scouts decided to sell the building and Smf then moved to temporary home @ Legends Sports bar until the end of 2024 when Tydd St Giles community centre became the clubs new home.

The club has held many big meetings over its time but 2024 saw one of there proudest moments for Smf when it held the rcbws world finals.
